About me

I decided to set up this group after my daughter had her first baby. Although I’m a mum to four adult children, I’d forgotten just how hard it is in the first few months. I also realized that there’s a real lack of support for new mums struggling with the demands of a new baby and adjusting to life as a mum.

There’s a whole raft of advice on what to do with the baby – but very little on how to look after your own mental wellbeing.

As a psychotherapist I’m well placed to guide and support new mums as they navigate this demanding transition and I also feel that the support gained from group sessions is hugely helpful when it’s easy to feel isolated and alone.

Don’t struggle on your own – do get in touch.
